LYRICISS @ PURE LOUNGE
[FROM LYRICISS]
What's good, y'all? Thanks to every one of y'all that posted the video "Doing My Job". It's currently creeping up to about 2,000 views in one week, and possible placement on MTV2. I appreciate that support. This video footage is of me performing the single at DC's premier open mic spot, Pure Nightclub's Tru Skool Open Mic, hosted by Studio 43/Diamond District's own X.O. and the highly-respected DJ Underdog. Enjoy the video and post it if possible. Much love, y'all.

MARK DEF INTERVIEW :: THE CONNECT DVD
THIS IS ONE PART OF A THREE PART SERIES, BROUGHT TO US BY THE CONNECT DVD.
PURE MONDAYS [4.13 RECAP]
THE WRAP-UP OF LAST WEEK'S FIGHT @ PURE
It's Open Mic Monday @ Pure Lounge DC (1321 U Street Washington D.C.), Me & the homie AbThePro are at the bar talking about our individual upcoming projects when out of nowhere someone's drink goes airborne. The crowd spreads out and and fists are flyin', being the photographer I jump lens first in the commotion and start flickin' away. The details are cloudy but basically the beef started when one of the performers ironically named Problem Child was doing her thing. Supposedly there was a minor altercation earlier in the night with someone in the crowd, after sensing some heckling from the same crowd member Problem Child decides to divert from her original song lyrics to direct a few "entertaining anecdotes" towards crowd member x, next thing you know bows are getting thrown, security comes through quickly removing Problem Child, crowd member x and anyone else involved in the scuffle. On the street outside of the club there was some yelling, thus causing 2 female D.C. Metro police officers to pull over and see what was going on. Everyone inside Pure was asked to leave, creating a mob of unhappy attendees mixed with unhappy performers who lost out on their time in the limelight. While everyone was out on the street I said to myself "we're all emcees right? So why not just start up a cypher right in front of the club on the sidewalk" and that's exactly what I did, we got to spittin' off the dome, we got the cameras out and ended the night on a positive note. XO, Benji & DJ Underdog came out after we finished cyphering and I got some pretty dope shots of them with the 2 female metro cops.
SEE YOU THERE TONIGHT!
