De-U Records gets rewarded yet again for our tireless efforts we've been puttin' in relentlessly since the year 2000. E One Letter's video directed & produced by himself for his single "Go Get It Boy" made it to the Hip-Hop website known as "On Smash" today. * FYI *...CNBC also called us earlier this week about doing their 2nd story on "Multiplication Hip-Hop" from our internationally popular Edu-Basics department too but that's nothing new...lol!!!
Just a little run down about this track. Will I Stay Remix feat. Wale & Dallas Austin - Produced by Colin Munroe is off Colin’s upcoming mixtape, Colin Munroe is the Unsung Hero. If the mixtape features, Wale, Mickey Factz, Joell Ortiz, Blaqstarr and Skyzoo and showcases Colin’s wide-ranging influences, from a revox of Bob Dylan’s “Who Killed Davey Moore” to a remake of Q-Tip’s J-Dilla-produced “Fever”. Munroe supplied the bulk of the production with additional contributions by Detroit’s Black Milk and Dallas Austin. Dallas Austin has produced such people as Madonna, P!NK, & TLC. Black Milk has just a released a new album entitled Tronic.-"I JUST PROTECT HART [HEART] LIKE MICHAGAN LINE" [ILL]

On May 29, 2008 Inner Loop Records threw a show @ Rock-N-Roll Hotel celebrating the classic Nas "Illmatic" album. We got a hold of some of the dopest DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) cats to remix the classic album and we threw it together on CD and performed it all live. This was the first time this concept had been attempted and the first of many more remake albums to come as we are gearing up for the Jay-Z "Reasonable Doubt" joint in January. Producers such as Kev Brown, Best Kept Secret, J-$crilla, Overok, Judah, NFinit, Oddisee and more remixed the original samples and had emcees like Ra The MC, Sketch, K-Beta, R.E.U.B., Kambir, Team Demo and Shaka perform their own takesm and own lyrics, of the classic wordplay Nas invoked. The album was put up on blogs from Japan to Germany to Australia to Russia to the good ol USA and though its hard to guage the amount of total downloads and listens we can tell you that on datpiff.com its been listened to over 260,000 times and downloaded nearly 60,000 times. The night is summed up here on video thanks to G-Light Films and www.innerlooprecords.com
This is the fourth installment of the 52 Pick Up Freestyle Series from Sock the Rapper. Please click the link to hear Sock flow over the instrumental from "Glamour Life" by Big Pun. I am sure that you will thoroughly enjoy this freestyle. If you're feeling it, please post it on your blogs and pass it to your friends, co-workers, clients, and family. The support is definitely appreciated. The Struggle EP is coming soon!!!LISTEN HERE
Northern VA's own, PHZ-Sicks, is prepping "The Feature Presentation" is on its way (up for free download on December 2nd, 2008). With that coming up soon, he drops two tracks from the mixtape. The First "Universal Monster" uses a Black Milk (of Tronic fame) "Purple Tape" beat to weave a tale of lyrical superiority. The second song, The Preview (the first song from the mixtape) uses a Melo-X produced track from his, "The Way I Am" instrumental mixtape. The Feature Presentation is just the appetizer for what's to come from PHZ-Sicks in the future. Less Than Zero is coming next.UNIVERSAL MONSTER &
New track over M.I.A.'s "Boyz" instrumental. Everybody has a "Paper Planes"
freestyle...a year and a half late, at that LOL. Only two people who've done
this beat that come to mind are Jay-Z and Wale...that's not bad company at all.
Even shouted them out on the track. Anyway, enjoy the track.
This is a project that really has been years in the making, but now the time is right. Some of you may have heard Ep before but this is a proper introduction to an emcee thats been quietly doing his thing in the DMV for some time now, he's also 1/2 of the group Rigamortiz. I can promise you that this is one of the hardest tapes, street albums, etc. to ever drop in the D.C. area or maybe even in hip-hop in general. Also a special shout out to our boy Peter Rosenberg from Hot 97/Juan Epstein for being part of this project.DOWNLOAD HERE

Ok now i have been planning on doing this project for a long time. The radio is a fan and artist's enemy and friend, the relationship is always shifting back and forth. iLL Vibes is caught up in a moment through contacts with artists and blogs where they want to push out the music they feel needs to be heard. I'm talking about the ridiculous flow of Wale, the creativity of Theophilus London, the determination of XV, that NY charisma from Mickey Factz, that raw flow from C. Hamilton, the personality of Marky, etc. Please post this if you believe in the future and what it has for hip hop, or better yet if you believe in the present and want to push this music out to the forefront. Drop love and respond back if you post it so we can show love to your blog!!!!! Thank you!!! Help iLL Vibes push out this project so we can have that "Music I Wish Was on the Radio Vol. 2"
Words of wisdom from the man behind most of De-U Records' Hip-Hop, R&B, Go Go, Gospel, & Children's music. His name is Alonzo but he's better known around the town as just...Zo. This man's music has earned many accolades over the past couple years. His music has been featured on CNBC, NPR, BET, CTV, The Washington Post, Business Weekly, & Black Enterprise magazine, WPGC, WKYS, & XM just to name a few. He's sat in & played keyboard for numerous legendary Go Go bands throughout his career, but now days you can catch him performing regularly with his group "The Epitome Band & Show".
Here's yet another interactive promotional e-flier done by The Money Federation for The Money Federation created to help promote the re-release of their all freestyle a.k.a. "unscripted" 30 track debut group mixtape called The Arrival...they rep DC/PG!!!THIS JOINTS IS KINDA HOT IF YOU ASK ME...
